Here at Cheshire Glow Clinic we are proud to be using the most powerful, state of the art laser hair removal machine in Cheshire and arguably on the laser market, the 'Motus AY'. With this machine we are able to completely tailor your treatment in order to get you the BEST results! From coarse, densely packed chin hairs, to fine and sparse hairs on your toes. As long as theres pigment in the hair, we can treat it!

This top of the range machine brings together two of the most effective laser hair removal technologies on the market - Alexandrite and ND:Yag -  allowing us to safely and effectively treat all skin types including Caucasian, Asian, Hispanic, Arab, Mixed race, Black Caribbean, Black African skin types.

Laser hair removal uses an intense beam of light that selectively destroys the hair follicles by targeting the melanin (colour) in the hair and thereby eliminating the root and blood flow to the hair at the base of the hair follicle.

The Alexandrite and Nd Yag lasers both are damaging the follicle enough to reduce the hair regrowth significantly; whilst leaving the surrounding tissue unaffected. During the treatment, you will feel a slight, hot pricking sensation in the treated area; this is the heat hitting the hair root inhibiting future growth over the course of multiple laser hair removal sessions.

Laser hair removal is the Permanent Reduction of hair within the treated area. The hair follicle must be within the Anagen phase of growth in order to be successfully treated in treatment, and a maximum of 40% of hairs are in this stage at any one time. With each treatment more hair follicles are damaged, making hair growth thereafter thinner, softer hairs, and less of them! Not every person will achieve full removal, and some hair types are not suitable.

During your consultation your specialist will:

Discuss the area(s) of hair you wish to remove including likely treatment plan and outcome

Do a small routine patch test to check your skins response to the laser

Explain what happens during your treatment, how to prepare, aftercare, & costs

Answer any questions you may have, please visit our FAQ for information prior to this.

Skins with an active tan (suntanned within last 2-4 weeks) or ANY fake tan present can not be treated or even patch tested under any circumstances. There are also some cautions we must take with tattoos, birth marks, scars, and other visible skin lesions.
